This painting series is derived from a photograph I took of this amazing looking bird I found sitting in the middle of the balcony in my house. I saw it from inside the house and after noticing it for a while, I realised that it could not move. So I took the opportunity to photograph it right there and then with my phone for fear that it might fly away. I felt sorry for the bird, I saw how scared it was of me as I was about 2 feet away from it, so I left it quickly after I was satisfied with what I captured. When I came back to check on it 10 minutes later, it had disappeared.
