'Into the mangroves' is a passion project of both Jessie and myself. We both had similar ideas of wanting to create a children's book that highlights the beauty of Brunei and we got together and did just that! Jessie wrote a story and I illustrated it. It is a project that is super close to our hearts because we are both mothers who love taking our young kids on adventures around Brunei. This particular story was inspired by our many trips to the mangroves. 

Anyone who has ever been on a tour of the Brunei Mangroves will find familiarity in the story and scenes in this book. We hope for this book to be a keepsake - a beautiful memory of childhood, adventure and most of all, Brunei.
